Breakfast was ala carte off a menu and while the breakfast restaurant is kind of dingy, service was great and the food was out quick. I encountered no issues with noise or with the Wifi either.ĭining: The bar was well stocked and had a great bartender. There was also a large bedroom with large bathroom. A true suite in the truest of forms with a massive living room which had a kitchen and dining area as well as a powder room. I had been preemptively upgraded to a VIP suite and I was also given a coupon for a free appetizer and non alcoholic drink at the bar. Parking is valet only and the valet company isn't very quick about car retrieval.Ĭheck In: Handled really well. Dining at the hotel isn't great and the kitchen closes at 10 PM. There's a huge lobby with its own meeting space and direct access to the convention center, a large bar on the 2nd floor along with a breakfast and dinner restaurant and a coffee shop. Hotel: The hotel is a massive convention center high rise of 20 stories. Other features include a 24-hour fitness center, a snack bar/deli, and a terrace. The restaurant is the perfect spot for a bite to eat, and after having fun at the indoor pool, you can unwind with a drink at the bar/lounge. Location wise it works great though the area around it is pretty quiet. Hyatt House Columbus / OSU Short North puts you just a 5-minute drive from Ohio State University and Ohio Stadium. It's near I-670 so getting to CMH is really easy and it's close to I-71 as well. Location: The hotel is located in the north part of Downtown Columbus right next to the massive Columbus Convention Center to which it's directly connected. In my head whole time I was like please don't say this like you are doing me a favor. Her exact words were "I am confused so I will only charge you $4 instead of $20". I was just frustrated by the end of the discussion and just wanted to be out of the lobby. After explaining the front desk lady this whole situation she charged me additional $4 for parking. After I got my car I went to check out to front desk. Next morning I went out to get my car out of the garage and upon scanning the parking ticket it said I owed $16 even though my room was being charged for it ! I ended up paying $16 from my credit card for parking there overnight. At the end of our conversation she said that now moving forward we should not have any issues getting in and out because she has associated the parking ticket with our room. The front desk lady said that the person who checked us in charged out room for the parking but never associated the parking ticket with our room? I am not sure how that's even possible but ok. After playing around with the machine thinking something must be wrong with the machine we just got another ticket to enter the garage and went straight to the front desk. The same parking ticket would not scan when we tried to enter the garage after our dinner. Later on that exact night we went out for dinner, scanned the parking ticket and we were able to get out of the garage. Chestnut garage, bring ticket back to get validated so that we can go in and out for that day and the next day.
